The Reverend Kelsey Sherazi is an ordained minster in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) who pastors the lively congregation of Virginia Beach Christian Church (DoC). She lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Rahum Sherazi, and their two golden retrievers, Scout and Fiona.
In ministry, Pastor Kelsey is passionate about building spaces of belonging that align with God’s love for all people, hearing and sharing diverse stories to foster understanding and connection, and bringing faith and art together through creative worship practices. She believes that God is love and that the most important building block for faith is understanding the truth and magnitude of God’s unconditional love.
In her writings, the Reverend Sherazi seeks primarily to share this tremendous love of God and guide others as they seek to understand their own faith. She writes for an audience of people who want to wrestle with the questions of faith while learning more about the context and contents of the Bible towards the aim of improving biblical literacy. Her devotional works are for people who want their biblical understanding to overflow into their daily living and their understanding of the world.
In life, Kelsey and Rahum enjoy spending time with each other and their sizable extended family. When not hanging out with others, you can typically find them at the gym or playing video games together on their couch. Other favorite pastimes of Kelsey’s include piddling outdoors, reading in a comfy chair with a cup of tea, and cooking or baking – especially Asian or Italian cuisine and pies.
